New Deputy Direc­tor-gen­eral of Com­mu­nity Re­la­tions in Sher­brooke

Sher­brooke City Coun­cil has an­nounced the ap­point­ment of Robert Doré as Deputy Direc­tor Gen­eral of Com­mu­nity Re­la­tions. The ap­point­ment fol­lows the re­or­ga­ni­za­tion of the Direc­torate-gen­eral, which be­gan last May, and the re­tire­ment of As­sis­tant Direc­tor Gen­eral René Al­laire.

With a Mas­ter of Busi­ness Ad­min­is­tra­tion (MBA) and spe­cial­iz­ing in mu­nic­i­pal af­fairs, Doré has 27 years of man­age­ment ex­pe­ri­ence, in­clud­ing 19 in the mu­nic­i­pal sec­tor. Un­til re­cently, he held the po­si­tion of Direc­tor Gen­eral of the Mu­nic­i­pal­ity of Saint-au­gustin-dedes­mau­res, a po­si­tion he held for eight years.

The new Deputy Direc­tor’s re­spon­si­bil­i­ties will in­clude the Po­lice (SPS), Fire Pro­tec­tion (SPCIS), the Depart­ment of Main­te­nance and Roads (SEV), Sports Ser­vices, Cul­ture and Com­mu­nity Life (SSCVC), Com­mu­ni­ca­tions Depart­ment and re­la­tions with the four bor­oughs of the City of Sher­brooke. Doré will as­sume of­fice on Oc­to­ber 9.
