Stanstead Township man arrested for child porn
Sexual exploitation of children on the Internet Investigators from the Sûreté du Québec arrested a man from Stanstead Township in connection with child pornography.
Normand Brouillard, 69, appeared in court Tuesday in Sherbrooke to face charges of possession, distribution, and accessing child pornography.
Officers conducted a search of the suspect's home and seized computer equipment for analysis.
The SQ’S Criminal Investigations Branch has specialized investigation projects and experts in cybercrime and the sexual exploitation of children. These investigators work closely with the Royal Canadian Mounted Police and municipal police officers. Since the implementation of the provincial strategy in the fight against the sexual exploitation of children in 2012, nearly 500 arrests have been made and several hundred victims have been identified.
