Archdiocese churches ‘Open House’ this weekend
A great way to enjoy a delicious home cooked meal and support L.E.S. students!
The first edition of the Archdiocese of Sherbrooke’s Bell Tower Walk will take place on Saturday and Sunday, Oct. 13 and 14. The seven selected church leaders are ready to greet visitors and display the finery of their place of worship.
The purpose of the Bell Tower Walk is to make the treasures hidden in the churches of the vast territory of the Archdiocese of Sherbrooke better known and appreciated in a festive atmosphere. The walk also allows visitors to learn more about the religious heritage of the diocese.
The participating churches are:
• Immaculée-conception of Sherbrooke
• St. Elizabeth in North Hatley
• Saint-georges in Saint-georges-de-windsor
• Saints-angels in North Ham
• Saint-louis-de-france in East Angus
• Sainte-cécile in Ste-cécile-de-whitton
• and St. Zeno in Piopolis
The public is invited to visit these churches which, will offer free guided tours for the occasion. Each of the seven sites also features unique programs for the weekend, details of which are available on the event webpage or flyer.
