Arch­dio­cese churches ‘Open House’ this week­end

A great way to en­joy a de­li­cious home cooked meal and sup­port L.E.S. stu­dents!

The first edi­tion of the Arch­dio­cese of Sher­brooke’s Bell Tower Walk will take place on Sat­ur­day and Sun­day, Oct. 13 and 14. The seven se­lected church lead­ers are ready to greet vis­i­tors and dis­play the fin­ery of their place of wor­ship.

The pur­pose of the Bell Tower Walk is to make the trea­sures hid­den in the churches of the vast ter­ri­tory of the Arch­dio­cese of Sher­brooke bet­ter known and ap­pre­ci­ated in a fes­tive at­mos­phere. The walk also al­lows vis­i­tors to learn more about the reli­gious her­itage of the dio­cese.

The par­tic­i­pat­ing churches are:

• Im­mac­ulée-con­cep­tion of Sher­brooke

• St. El­iz­a­beth in North Hat­ley

• Saint-georges in Saint-georges-de-wind­sor

• Saints-an­gels in North Ham

• Saint-louis-de-france in East An­gus

• Sainte-cé­cile in Ste-cé­cile-de-whit­ton

• and St. Zeno in Piopo­lis

The pub­lic is in­vited to visit these churches which, will of­fer free guided tours for the oc­ca­sion. Each of the seven sites also fea­tures unique pro­grams for the week­end, de­tails of which are avail­able on the event web­page or flyer.
