Compton Historical Society Holds Meeting

COMPTON – The October meeting of the Compton Historical Society was held on the 13th at the home of Sue Nichols with an attendance of 8.

The President, Jean Marc Lachance opened the meeting and the Lord’s Prayer was recited in unison.

Sue Nichols, secretary, read the minutes of the previous meeting, and they were adopted as read.

Ellie Bailey, Treasurer, gave the financial report, and it was adopted as read. Jean Marc Lachance reported that the 4th meeting of the Board of Directors for the Compton Historical Society had taken place recently, and he talked briefly about the projects they have scheduled.

A note was read from Robert and Beverley Nichols, thanking the members for the gift they received for their 60th wedding anniversary.

Ellie Bailey gave a brief report on Townshippers’ Day, which was held in Richmond.

Next meeting, April 6, 2019 place to be decided.
