Feds invest $11.5 million in Udes Health research
Compton-stanstead MP Marieclaude Bibeau announced an investment of $11.5 by the federal Ministry of Health to support 16 research projects at the Université de Sherbrooke.
The Minister spoke about the investment while touring the diabetes research lab of Dr. André Carpentier, who received a $1 million grant to study the role of brown fat in obesity and type 2 diabetes. His findings will help guide efforts to prevent and treat diabetes, which is affecting a growing number of Canadians.
