Holiday magic fills the air at Uplands, particularly warm and cheerful during the month of December. Lucie Doheny’s pottery, Debbie Everett’s sculpted ornaments, Caroline George’s papiermaché birds, Stuart Main’s oil paintings, Michael Royea’s photography, Natacha Sangalli’s prints, and Kathy Teasdale’s mixed medium artwork beautify the art gallery with a colourful, contemporary and wonderfully diversified exhibit. Let yourself be tempted by this unique occasion to offer yourself or a loved-one a locally-made work of art from the 17th edition of our Bonheur d’hiver ‘’prelude to Winter’’ exhibit, which will be up until December 16. On the second floor of Uplands, LAHMS presents “Time and Image,” a historical exhibit about local photography. Large photo panels presenting the tradition of English tea in the Eastern Townships enliven Uplands’ wooded area and will be outside all Winter.

Our Christmas concert will take place once again this year on Thursday, December 13 and Friday, December 14 at 7:30 p.m., and will present Eight Misbehavin’, Christmas readings, a sing-along accompanied by Fanny Gaudette on the piano and, of course, our delicious mulled wine. It is necessary to reserve for this popular event which fills the hall every year.

Pssst, think about having a cup of tea during your visit!
