Brome-mis­sisquoi re­cruits skilled work­ers in France

ACLD rep­re­sen­ta­tive from Brome­mis­sisquoi par­tic­i­pated in the Journées du Québec in Paris last week­end and gath­ered 150 ap­pli­ca­tions to work for com­pa­nies in the re­gion. The event comes from an agree­ment be­tween France and Que­bec, now in its 19th edi­tion.

The ap­pli­ca­tions col­lected are di­rectly re­lated to jobs whose needs are glar­ing in the re­gion. Th­ese in­clude, for ex­am­ple, welders, electro­mechan­i­cal en­gi­neers, chefs, etc.

"The can­di­dates did not come only from France, some had trav­eled from Bel­gium, Al­ge­ria and Tu­nisia to come and meet us," said Brome Mis­sisquoi In­dus­trial Advisor Benoit Lévesque.

Ap­pli­ca­tions will be shared with com­pa­nies in the re­gion in the next few days.

The Brome-mis­sisquoi CLD can re­fer com­pa­nies that would like to hire work­ers from abroad to the nec­es­sary tech­ni­cal re­sources. As part of its strat­egy of at­tract­ing the pop­u­la­tion, the MRC is also struc­tur­ing help to fa­cil­i­tate the re­cep­tion of new res­i­dents. This could, for ex­am­ple ,in­clude help find­ing hous­ing.
