The Saint Fran­cis Re­gional Min­istry of the Angli­can Church is or­ga­niz­ing Chris­tian Med­i­ta­tion ses­sions. The ap­proach used is cen­ter­ing prayer. This is a con­tem­pla­tive Chris­tian prac­tice which in­volves sit­ting in si­lence, let­ting go of thoughts and emo­tions in or­der to rest in the pres­ence of God. All are wel­come to join us on Tues­days from 6 p.m. to 7 p.m. at St Barn­abas’ Angli­can Church, 640 Sher­brooke Road in North Hatley and on Thurs­days from 6 p.m. to 7 p.m. at St Ge­orge’s Angli­can Church, 84 Queen Street in Lennoxville. The Saint Fran­cis Re­gional Min­istry of the Angli­can Church is or­ga­niz­ing a group dis­cus­sion on Seek­ing God in a Sec­u­lar age. Charles Tay­lor, a Ro­man Catholic Québé­cois, is con­sid­ered one of the world’s most im­por­tant philoso­pher and his book, A Sec­u­lar Age, will be at the cen­ter of the dis­cus­sions. The group meets ev­ery Wed­nes­day from 7 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. at 84 Queen Street, Lennoxville. The dis­cus­sions have al­ready be­gun.
