Lennoxville Golden Agers

The Lennoxville Golden Agers met on December 4 for the annual Christmas Party.

A delightful afternoon of music was provided by Wayne Nutbrown, Janice Graham and Ron Haseltine. Kris Mckercher led in the Christmas Carol singing. A few games were played and prizes were given.

Punch and snacks were available throughout the afternoon.

Linda Buchanan said Grace. A turkey dinner with tomato juice, turkey, potatoes, stuffing, coleslaw, carrots, turnips and rolls were on the menu. A choice of raisin, lemon and coconut cream pie with tea and coffee for dessert.

The tables were decorated with poinsettias purchased from La Maison Aube Lumiere. The winners of these plants were Jean Rourke, Louise Nutbrown, Frankie Noble, Linda Buchanan, Doris Coates and Mary Cheal.

Door prizes were provided by the club, Familiprix and Clarke and Sons. Winners were Fern Lapointe, Bob Hall, Louise Nutbrown, Margaret Vintinner, Audrey Caron, Ken Huff, Helen Matthews, Greta Nish, Margaret Hall, Jack Noble, Jack Kimpton, Shirley Nutbrown, Elaine Lebourveau and Barbara Gosselin.

The Jelly Bean Guess was won by David Brown with the exact number in the jar!

Guests were Ken Huff, Bob Nish, Audrey and Rejean Caron, Grace Betts, Irene Humphrey, Ron Haseltine, Janice Graham, Kris Mckercher, Linda Buchanan, Claude Charron, Frankie and Jack Noble, Harold and Shirley Nutbrown.

We want to thank the musicians and Kris. Also, Jack and Frankie Noble for assisting with serving.

Thanks goes to Mr. Lafond at Provigo for the clementines, to Familprix and Clarke and Sons for the Gift Certificates.

We want to thank the cooks David, Gloria and Tina, and the cleanup crew (Bishop’s students.)

Santa Claus did a great job and we appreciated his visit. Thanks to Pat, our President, for organizing the party.
