Des­jardins-wild go down 7-3 to La Tuque

The Wind­sor Des­jardins - Wild lost its match against the La Tuque Loups 7-3 on Fri­day night. The La Tuque squad took con­trol of the game in the first pe­riod with three goals by Carl-an­toine Delisle and one by Louis-pa­trice Giguère. Alexan­dre Carig­nan, scored the Wind­sor team’s only re­sponse in the first pe­riod.

Tommy Lapierre re­duced the gap by half with the first of his two goals in the 14th sec­ond of play in the sec­ond pe­riod, but the Loups fought back with two more goals. Fran­cis St-louis and Hen­rick Gau­vin pro­vided a 6-2 lead after 40 min­utes.

Math­ieu Bou­lianne and Tommy Lapierre com­pleted the scor­ing in the third pe­riod for the 7-3 La Tuque vic­tory..

The Loups took 40 shots on Louis Mé­nard while Steven Veilleux han­dled 34 shots.

The next Des­jardins - Wild lo­cal game will be held on Fri­day, Jan. 18, at 8:30 p.m. when the Loui­seville Belle­mare will visit the J.-a.-lemay Cen­ter.
