Les Concerts de la Cité are back in Sherbrooke for the 32nd year, from July 4 to April 3 this summer. The collaboration between Animation Centre-ville, the City of Sherbrooke, Desjardins, and La Fabrique culturelle has made possible more than 40 free shows that will be offered at the Place de la Cité and the Strathcona Square.

There will be weekly shows from

Wednesday to Saturday, at multiple times of the day. Starting with Koriass, one of Quebec’s leading rappers, the Place de la Cité will also host Hawaiian artist Mike Love, Columbian artist Ramon Chicharron, and country group Rodeo Drive.

The Grand Classics’ component is back again, with Pink Floyd inspired performances by Les Lucioles, a group of nine musicians from Montreal. Moreover, Eliza Eleven, an Élizabeth Provencher project, will demonstrate a jazz and bossa-nova act. PAG will also offer an intimate and acoustic evening that celebrates Quebecois music.

Les Concerts de la Cité also wishes to showcase young new talent from the area, and is adding Mr Jones & Moi, Félixe, Or et Grenat, and Jipé Dalpé to its program.

Following a 5 à 7 formula, more than 90 musicians will take over downtown Sherbrooke on Fridays and Saturdays at the Strathcona Square. Attendees can expect a tribute to Aretha Franklin, the Bouche Bées, the Pigswana Orchestra, the Triton Trio, and more.

Street theatre is also an important component for Les Concerts de la Cité, and will now be moved the Place de la Cité. These performances will surely bring joy and happiness to all those who attend, young and old.
