n August 27, the 15th edition of La Maison Au Diapason’s Golf Tournament took place. The Au Diapason Foundation team is very proud of the large sum of $143,000 raised, thanks to the participation of its many partners and participants.

Nearly 230 golfers gathered at the Knowlton Golf Club and Golf Château-bromont, not counting the 20 guests who joined them during the evening.

Luc Harbec, President of The Au Diapason Foundation, states, “The Maison Au Diapason tournament is one of the most popular in the region, and we are very proud of it.

One of the highlights of the evening was the speech of Mr. Douglas Johnston, Vice President, Portfolio Manager and Investment Advisor for JFS Group Desjardins Securities, who was eager to acknowledge the extraordinary contribution of all his team. Since the very first edition of the Maison Au Diapason Tournament, JFS Group - Desjardins Securities, presenter of the event, has been able to raise the record sum of $800,000. Honorary President of the event, Mr. Jean Provost, Associate Pharmacist of the Pharmacy Jean Provost, Majed Bitar and Kevin Smith affiliated with Jean-coutu, said that “The funds raised will continue to provide free specialized, quality palliative care and psychological and spiritual support, to end-of-life patients and their loved ones by all the dedicated medical team of the Maison au Diapason”.

As usual, games and friendly competitions were held at the event, in addition to some new events such as The Lucky Water Ball and The Millionaire Hole, where golfers could enjoy a beverage offered by the SAQ while a wax was applied to shine their golf shoes and clubs. Players could also compete against golf professionals Victor Grondin of the Knowlton Golf Club and Pierre Gagnon of the Château Golf-bromont.

After the round of golf, a cocktail hosted by the band Le Trio Celeste awaited the participants. The musicians had fun rewriting the lyrics a well-known song to dedicate to the cocktail partner, Les Quais de l’estrie. A cartoonist using the digital platform as a medium drew a portrait of the participants.

In addition to the interactive auction of the evening, a live auction was animated by none other than the Mayor of Frelighsburg, Jean Lévesque.
