he 30th edition of the Tournament organized by the Knowlton Golf Club to benefit the Brome-missisquoi-perkins Hospital Foundation was held on Friday, September 20, 2019. The event brought together more than 100 golfers and nearly 140 guests for dinner, a record attendance for the Knowlton Golf Club, which had to use all the tables in its possession.

Thanks to the many participants and generous donations made during the evening, the event raised $45,000! Thank you to all the people who contributed directly or indirectly to this magnificent result. This money will be invested in the Pain Management Clinic at BMP Hospital.

In order to honour Dr. Barakett and his involvement in the Knowlton and Brome Lake community, the golf club had decided to rename this tournament for the benefit of the BMP Foundation, the William J. Barakett Memorial Tournament. His daughter, Élise Barakett, was present at the event along with many friends, patients and former colleagues. Nicole Charbonneau and Dan Bogan, in the name of the Knowlton Golf Club, presented Elise with a Tree of Life art in memory of all the good things her father did for the BMP Hospital and Foundation.

The BMP Foundation would like to warmly thank the Knowlton Golf Club members, all the sponsors of this edition, the participants and the entire team of the Knowlton Golf Club, in particular Audrey, Alex and Dan, for their support of the BMP Hospital and for the tribute paid to our dear friend, Dr. Barakett.
