n enjoyable evening awaited the guests of the 6th edition of La Soirée Champêtre, which took place on September 26 under a large tent in the backyard of the Brome-missisquoi Funeral Complex. The organizers of this fundraising event were able to give the Fondation Au Diapason the sum of $57,000, raised thanks to the participation of the many partners and guests of this event.
More than 300 guests were greeted with a welcome cocktail and immediately invited to sample fine regional products from local businesses and vineyards. The organizers of this 6th edition solicited a record number of partners, who responded positively to their invitation by offering different products and services for the silent auction. More than 70 lots were sold, which added to the total donations raised. “The choice of the Fondation Au Diapason as an organization to be funded this year was unanimous from all members of the organizing committee as it is the only palliative care home in the region and it is currently undergoing a major fundraising campaign for the realization of many projects, including the expansion of the dining room at La Maison,” explains Édith Brault-lalanne, a lawyer at Lavin and Gosselin Avocats.
A festive atmosphere reigned where rhythmic music mingled with laughter. The highlight of the evening was the fireworks display, that took place for over 15 minutes. Monique Bibiane Sergerie was pleased with the evening’s proceedings and the tremendous work of the members of the organizing committee for this event. “The involvement of the organizing committee members of La Soirée Champêtre was sensational. Our expansion project of the dining room will see the day, I promise you. On behalf of the entire Diapason team and our loved ones, we thank them very much for their exceptional support. The amount raised goes well beyond our expectations.” About La Soirée Champêtre
The Soirée Champêtre is an initiative of business people in the region who have chosen to join forces and give their time to organize an event to raise funds. A few years ago, the founding members, Benoit Desgens and Mathieu Baker, had the idea of setting up an evening to collect donations and thus help the Bromemissisquoi-perkins Hospital Foundation.
The mission of this organization is to help organizations serving the population of the Brome-missisquoi and Hauteyamaska regions carry out concrete and useful projects.
