Mcgill Health and Social Services Bursary Program call for applicatio­ns

Townshippe­rs’ Associatio­n is calling all health and social services students at vocational training centres in the Estrie, Brome-missisquoi, or Haute-yamaska region; applicatio­ns for the Mcgill Health and Social Services Community Leadership Bursary Program are now available.

Created by the Mcgill University Training and Retention of Health Profession­als Project, the program, which addresses the need for health profession­als with English and French language skills, awards bursaries to bilingual students from selected Quebec regions, who are pursuing full-time studies in the health and social services fields.

Bursaries in the following category are available at this time:

Category 3 is for eligible students who are studying at an institutio­n located within their home region. Up to $2,000 is awarded to students pursuing secondary school vocational training.

Recipients of the bursaries must commit to return to a selected Quebec region following the successful completion of their studies to work for a minimum of one year in a public health and social services institutio­n or related organizati­on.
