October 29 - 86 members gathered at the Bulwer Community Center. Nine tables of 500 played, as well as 2 teams of carpet bowling and a table of Skip BO.

We had special guests, Diane Grenier and Michele Lepine from the CAB and the Townshippe­rs’ Associatio­n. They were accompanie­d by Justin Dewey from the Lennoxvill­e Vocation Training Center who proceeded to demonstrat­e CPR and Resuscitat­ion as well as how to deal with emergency situations. A question and answer period followed. Keith thanked them for coming.

Everyone assembled for supper, grace was said by Madelyn Betts. Another wonderful meal prepared by Peggy Grapes and helpers, ham and all the trimmings and cake for dessert.

Results of 500 were: Ladies 1st place Janet Casteur, 2nd place Ilah Batley and low score Greta Jones. Men’s 1st place Clayton Lackie, 2nd place Delmer Fisher and low score Stan Brown.

Results of carpet bowling were: Red team (Alberta C., Doris, Ken and Jean) beat the black team (Carol, James, Marylou and Allan). Skip Bo: Two games played, the winners were Beverly Cote and Paulette Painter.

Diane and Michele proceeded to draw prizes from the CAB. The winners were: James Wilkin, Marion Annesely, Hazel Kerr and Delmer Fisher.

Door prizes were won by Kevin Doherty, Brenda Macdonald, Cline MacDonald, Richard Coates, Carol Rodgers, Lynda Coates and Bob Halsall. Winners of Peggy’s goodies were Janet Casteur, Trudy Rand, Roy Galabois and Helen Digby.

The pumpkin seed guess was won by Diane Learned who guessed 650. The amount was 653.

Thank you to everyone who helped set up and clean up, it is always much appreciate­d.
