Over the more than 12 years that they have been available, these adult education classes have brought together English-speaking adults, and those keen to improve their English, in an atmosphere which fosters learning and community building. Not to mention a little diversion from the ‘dregs’ of winter.

This program is volunteer-driven and continues to reflect the interests of the students and creative instructors who offer 90 minutes each Wednesday evening for six weeks. The caliber and generosity of our instructors, professionals and volunteers who happily commit to the program and to the community, are continuing the efforts formerly steered by the late Pervana Mladenof. Community building is a strong focus. Every evening of classes concludes with a thirty- minute coffee and baked-goods social time where students can connect and share what they’re learning. The Magog Night School Committee thanks Bishop’s University’s Senior Academy for Life-long Learning for its sponsorship support, and Princess Elizabeth Elementary School and the CLC Coordinator for opening their doors to the community!

In-person registration for classes is from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. on Wednesday March 18th, at the Princess Elizabeth School (PEES) in Magog. On-line reservation begins at 6 p.m. on March 18th at www.magognightschool.ca and continues until the April 1. Registration is on a first-come, first-served basis.

The cost for the entire six-week session, including coffee time and the last night’s dinner is still only $20.00, payable by cash or cheque.
