Brome-missisquoi Campus celebrates student success
The Brome Missisquoi Campus (CBM), a centre for adult education located in the same building as Massey Vanier High School in Cowansville, is celebrating the success of seven students graduating this December from the centre’s DUAL program.
Each program has a choice of schedule to best fit learners needs; from three days a week to five days a week. Courses in the DUAL program mix three days of class at the centre with two days spent working directly with an industry partner.
We are very proud of seven students
graduating this December who have earned their DEP (Diplome d’etude Professional) in Welding and Fitting through the DUAL cohort. They have each completed their diplomas while studying in the Centre and also at a company in the area. We would like
to take this opportunity that thank our partners in industry for their dedication in teaching and training our students with us.
The CBM is home to two entities, one where students, 16 years and up, can attend to work towards their high school diploma or gain prerequisites for Cegep while the another is a professional training centre, where students can earn a diploma in many of the trade programs.
The Vocational Training sector of CBM offers dynamic programs in;
Accounting, Computer Graphics, Industrial Mechanics, Hairdressing, Machining, Professional Cooking, Starting a Business and Welding and Fitting just to name a few. The prerequisites required vary from program to program. We have learners that come to us from high school or after high school, while others come from the workforce to get a diploma or to change vocation. Our in-house guidance counsellor can help interested candidates find the most suitable program as well as discuss the possibility for loans and bursaries or funding from
Emploi- Quebec. Some programs are available for a continuous entry throughout the year, while others begin every August.
CBM will host an Open House in January but it’s always possible to make an appointment for a centre tour. For more information about our DUAL programs, centre visits or services available to the public, please
