My name is Melissa Morin and I have always lived in the Eastern townships. I am an outdoor enthusiast with energy and passion to share. I strive to help people through my passions and my career as a future physiotherapist. I am honored to be the recipient of this scholarship, reflecting the importance granted to support the future health workers of our community.
Marianne Larin
Sherbrooke University, occupational therapy
After completing the CPA exam and a master’s degree in financial accounting, I decided to change my career path and go back to school to study in a field I am passionate about: rehabilitation. I discovered a passion for occupational therapy and research and became a research assistant for the Laboratoire d’optimisation cognitive de l’université de Sherbrooke (LOPCUS) over a year ago. My goal is to continue my studies in research and eventually obtain a doctorate in occupational therapy. The scholarship offered by the Lampe Foundation will allow me to focus on my studies and research projects to ultimately reach the PHD level.
Élodie Beaudoin
Sherbrooke University, occupational therapy
My name is Élodie, I am 22 years old and I grew up in Sherbrooke. I am a dynamic, open-minded and organized person who likes teamwork and problem solving, which is why I aspire to work in the region in a rehabilitation center with adults with traumatic injuries or neurological problems. The scholarship offers me the opportunity to gain experience in an internship outside of the region while limiting the financial stress associated with accommodation and transportation costs. I am very grateful to have this opportunity and I believe that this experience will make me a better occupational therapist.
