Pet of the week: Loulou
Loulou (#6249) is a splendid and delicate kitty with lovely white & tabby fur and golden eyes full of tenderness & sensitivity. However, what makes her so special is her extremely amiable and endearing personality!
This sweetie was brought back to the shelter early February after having been adopted in January 2018 when she was only a kitten; Loulou will turn 7 years old in July 2024.
Our beautiful feline is in very good health except that when she arrived, we noticed that the poor girl was somewhat skinny and upon her examination, we noticed she had problems with her teeth. Our veterinarian recently completed a thorough cleaning of her teeth and also did a few extractions so that now, Loulou has started to eat with appetite, gained some weight and is in much better spirits. She is now ready to find her new family.
Pleasant Loulou is gentle, curious and moderately active as well as being quite cuddly and affectionate - Loulou really appreciates interacting with people and you can easily pick her up and hold her in your arms. She can be a bit independent at times but she truly adores her daily petting sessions...this precious girl will make for a perfect companion for cat lovers who want to caress and kiss their fur baby!
As a strictly indoor cat, Loulou should flourish in a serene, warm & welcoming environment with calm and caring people. Her new family must take the time to comfort this wonderful lady and give her lots of love as she has been quite destabilized and sad since her abandonment. Thus, we recommend a home without young children or dogs to ensure Loulou ‘s wellbeing and happiness. This gem was used to being the only pet in the household so she would have no problems remaining the Queen of her domain again however should you already have another cat in your home, he/she must be friendly and nondominant. An integration period will also be required to ensure the success of their cohabitation.
