You might be in a mood to declutter at home, and getting rid of old DVDS and Blu-ray discs could be at the top of your list. But the editors at Popular Science want you to think twice before gutting your collection. Streaming services don’t always hold on to their offerings indefinitely; series and movies come and go from the major platforms all the time. Having a physical copy of your favorite show ensures you can always access it. Plus, if your internet connection goes out, you’re still able to watch. Don’t forget: DVDS can be shared with others, and over time can be much cheaper than subscribing to a streamer.
