Traf­fic check re­sults in Saugeen Shores man charged with adult pos­ses­sion of cannabis

A 33-year-old of Saugeen Shores was charged with adult pos­ses­sion of over 30 grams of dried cannabis in a pub­lic place con­trary to the Cannabis Act fol­low­ing an OPP traf­fic check in The Town­ship of Welling­ton North.

OPP in­ves­ti­gated the male driver of a grey sedan for a High­way Traf­fic Act vi­o­la­tion on Welling­ton Road 109 near Con­ces­sion 1.

While speak­ing with the male, of­fi­cers ob­served “a large jar of dried cannabis in plain view within reach of him.”

The driver was taken into cus­tody un­der the Cannabis Act.

Bradley Baily is sched­uled to ap­pear in guelph Crim­i­nal Court Dec. 11 on the charge. He was also charged with speed­ing.
