Suspect wanted in cheque fraud
Norfolk OPP would like any member of the public who can identify this individual to share what they know with the detachment in Simcoe. The suspect - possibly from Oshawa is wanted in connection with the alleged theft of cheques in Simcoe in April and May. Police are seeking the public’s help in identifying a man who is wanted for questioning in connection with a suspected fraud involving stolen cheques. The owner of a business on the Queensway West in Simcoe contacted police in July after cheques in the mail were allegedly intercepted and deposited in the suspect’s bank account. The alleged thefts occurred in April and May. Images of the suspect were captured on surveillance camera and shared with police. The Norfolk OPP released the images on Tuesday. The suspect is believed to be from Oshawa. Anyone with information related to this case is asked to contact the Norfolk OPP at 1-888-310-1122.
