Woman in­jured in crash

A woman suf­fered se­ri­ous in­juries when her SUV crashed into a trac­tor trailer stopped along High­way 6 in Hagersville on Mon­day night. The crash hap­pened at shortly after 9 p.m. north of San­dusk Road. Po­lice were al­ready in the area in­ves­ti­gat­ing a two-ve­hi­cle col­li­sion that had re­sulted in the clo­sure of High­way 6. No in­juries were re­ported in that crash, but the road was closed to al­low emer­gency crews to re­move the dam­aged ve­hi­cles. The trac­tor trailer was stopped in the south­bound lane as the driver waited for the road to re-open when it was struck from be­hind by an SUV. The 67-year-old woman driv­ing the SUV suf­fered se­ri­ous but non-life-threat­en­ing in­juries. She was trans­ported to hos­pi­tal for treat­ment. The truck’s driver was not in­jured. High­way 6 was closed for sev­eral hours for the in­ves­ti­ga­tion.
