Purse stolen in Simcoe

Simcoe Reformer - Times-Reformer - - NEWS -

Personal and financial information went missing after someone broke into a vehicle in Simcoe and stole a purse. The incident was reported to police Monday. In a news release, the Norfolk OPP say the vehicle was broken into on Arthur Street on Friday. Police were told the vehicle was locked at the time of the theft. Police say this is a reminder that it is important for motorists to secure their valuables. If valuable items have to be kept in a vehicle, store them in a manner so they are not visible to bystanders and passers-by. Consider taking valuables inside or at least store them in the trunk. Police say it is also a good idea to park a vehicle after dark in a well-lit area wherever possible.
