A round of thanks

Simcoe Reformer - Times-Reformer - - OPINION -

On behalf of Norfolk General Hospital Volunteer Association, I would like to take this opportunity to thank the many volunteers, donors and sponsors of our recent Treasure Mart held November 10 at the Aud in Simcoe. We also wish to acknowledge everyone who so kindly contributed the many wonderful items at this event, whether it was clothing, books, “treasures” or baked goods.

In addition to numerous volunteers from NGH/NHNH who help out every year with the many hours of hard work, we must also make a special mention of the many other participants without whom Treasure Mart could not happen. Special thanks goes to W. J. Moving, Leons and Hertz Rental for providing us with transportation for moving our “treasures” to and from the hospital.

A “BIG” thank you to Doug Sibbett and his team for loading and delivering the remaining “treasures” to Brantford. To Karen Sibbett who waited for Doug’s return and finished delivering and closing up shop. Thanks to all.

To the students from Holy Trinity, your help and willingness to take on whatever we needed you for was awesome.

The local business community also deserves kudos for their continued support of our hospital through their generous donations.

And last, but not least, to the residents of Haldimand and Norfolk and surrounding area who come out year after year to Treasure Mart. We tip our hats to you in thanks because, really, without you there would be no event. We look forward to Treasure Mart 2019 and look forward to seeing you all there!
