While the resort remains a popular RV destination year-round due to its spacious sites, top notch guest services, top caliber amenities, Spring is when it really shines as guests have access to a seemingly endless list of special events and activities throughout the greater Palm Springs area. For tennis fans, the BNP Paribas Open (March 6th19th) is an absolute must. From March 24-26th, foodies descend on the Seventh Annual Palm Desert Food & Wine Festival. Throughout the event, guests can experience tastings from over 40 restaurants and 60 premium wines while also viewing demos from some of the country’s top chefs. Taking place simultaneously is Cathedral City LGBT Days, California’s 1st pride event of the year featuring great food, live music, art shows, a battle of the bars, the highly popular “bed race,” and more!

A few days later golf enthusiasts can take in the LPGA’s first major tournament of the year, the ANA Inspirational Championship (March 27-April 2) at the Mission Hills Country Club in Rancho Mirage. Also, from March 29th through April 3rd, one of the country’s top film festivals, the American Documentary Film Festival, comes to Palm Springs, Rancho Mirage, and Palm Desert featuring over 120 thought provoking, entertaining, and unforgettable films.

There’s something special for art enthusiasts as well with the Indian Wells Arts Festival at the Tennis Garden. Held March 31-April 2, the festival features more than 200 juried artists traveling from across the nation and as far as Japan, Africa, Central and South America, the United Kingdom, Europe and beyond.

In mid-April, Emerald Desert hosts its annual Easter celebration that is highlighted by a complimentary Easter brunch on Sunday the 16th. Throughout the Easter weekend, visitors to Palm Desert can also take part in the two-day Easter "Eggstravaganza" at The Living Desert featuring a hunt for 10,000 eggs, Easter crafts, face painting, bounce houses, games and more.

Finally, two of the country’s largest and most popular music festivals take place near Emerald Desert in the Spring. First up is Coachella Valley Music & Arts Festival (weekend 1, April 14-16; weekend 2, April 21-23), which is held at the Empire Polo Club in Indio, attracting people from all over the world due to its eclectic mix of music genres. Throughout both weekends, Emerald Desert RV Resort will offer shuttles to the venue as well as live on-site music and food. Next is Stagecoach Music Festival (April 28-30), a family friendly three-day celebration of country music featuring the genre’s biggest names live on-stage. Festival goers staying at Emerald Desert will also be treated to on-site live music, BBQs and other resort activities.

So regardless of your personal tastes there is arguably something for everyone visiting the Palm Desert area throughout the Spring. That, coupled with the countless onsite activities and amenities, make Emerald Desert the destination of choice for RVers looking to get the most out of their seasonal visit to Southern California!
