Di­dier Drogba has made his fi­nal ever ap­pear­ance as a pro­fes­sional foot­baller. The 40-year-old lost his last game as Phoenix were beaten by Louisville City in the United Soc­cer League Cup fi­nal. Fol­low­ing the game, Drogba ap­plauded the Phoenix fans as they ser­e­naded him. He then invited his team­mates to join him in in­ter­act­ing with the fans. Drogba was seen con­sol­ing some fans and thank­ing oth­ers. The Ivo­rian had an il­lus­tri­ous ca­reer hav­ing played over 750 games, scor­ing 365 goals and win­ning 17 tro­phies. But, per­haps what he’ll be most re­mem­bered for was that night in Munich, look­ing at you Chelsea fans.
