Players in the United Soccer League Championship, the second tier of US soccer, have formed a union for collective bargaining. The USL Players Association will be recognized as the players’ exclusive bargaining representative with the league. This is part of the process in building and sustaining a professional soccer league. Players on loan from MLS teams to USL clubs will still be represented by the MLS Players Association, provided they meet the minimum salary requirements.
