Ma­jor League Soc­cer will have five rep­re­sen­ta­tives in the

2019 Concacaf Cham­pi­ons League, and they have learned their fate af­ter the draw took place. There will be no all-MLS tie in the round of 16, and just one MLS v Liga MX matchup, while de­fend­ing cham­pi­ons Chivas de Guadala­jara did not qual­ify for the 2019 edi­tion. Hous­ton Dy­namo will take on Gu­atemala’s Guas­ta­toya, while last year’s fi­nal­ists, Toronto FC face Club Atletico In­de­pen­di­ente of Panama. Sport­ing KC go up against Liga MX side Toluca, At­lanta United play Costa Rica’s Here­di­ano and the New York Red Bulls face Club Atletico Pan­toja of the Do­mini­can Repub­lic. The Concacaf Cham­pi­ons League will again fea­ture a 16-team knock­out tour­na­ment be­gin­ning in Fe­bru­ary. The win­ner will rep­re­sent Concacaf at the 2019 Club World Cup.
