Bri­tish bank­ing firm Bar­clays has ex­tended its spon­sor­ship deal with the Pre­mier League by three years, pro­long­ing its as­so­ci­a­tion un­til 2022. Eng­land’s top flight has agreed a £31.5 mil­lion deal to re­new the part­ner­ship with the fi­nan­cial in­sti­tu­tion. The new deal will see a 15 per cent in­crease on the pre­vi­ous deal, ex­tend­ing one of the long­est run­ning part­ner­ships in Bri­tish sport. The Pre­mier League cur­rently earns over £100 mil­lion per year from com­mer­cial part­ners and is set to make over £5 bil­lion in do­mes­tic TV rev­enue over the next three years.
