British banking firm Barclays has extended its sponsorship deal with the Premier League by three years, prolonging its association until 2022. England’s top flight has agreed a £31.5 million deal to renew the partnership with the financial institution. The new deal will see a 15 per cent increase on the previous deal, extending one of the longest running partnerships in British sport. The Premier League currently earns over £100 million per year from commercial partners and is set to make over £5 billion in domestic TV revenue over the next three years.
