Journalist Federico Ruffo was the victim of an arson attempt following a recent investigative report for Italy’s public national broadcaster he was involved in, which looked into the mafia links with members of the Juve ultras groups. There was also the death of Juventus fan Raffaello Bucci, who was working for the club, and collaborating with police. While it was ruled to be a suicide, wiretaps suggest he could’ve been threatened. According to some reports, Ruffo was at home when, in the middle of the night, a red cross was painted on his walls and gasoline was poured on the doorway. A barking dog raised the alarm and the arsonists were chased away.
