Span­ish broad­cast com­pany Mediapro, have re­port­edly had a €300 mil­lion bid for the nam­ing rights to Barcelona’s Nou Camp re­jected. The agency’s Chief Ex­ec­u­tive said that dis­cus­sions were held be­tween the two par­ties over a po­ten­tial deal that was to be paid over a 20-year pe­riod. Talks be­tween the two even­tu­ally broke down af­ter Barcelona de­manded that Mediapro with­draw their law­suit against the club’s for­mer pres­i­dent San­dro Rosell. Barcelona have been search­ing for a nam­ing rights part­ner for al­most three years now, with an agree­ment seen as a key part of the fund­ing for the club’s planned ren­o­va­tions of the sta­dium.
