THE GLOVES ARE OFF
Sevilla’s Ramon Sanchez Pizjuan stadium will compete against Vienna and Tbilisi for the right to host the 2021 Europa League final. The formal proposals from each venue must be submitted to UEFA by February 15, 2019. An executive committee will then decide upon the winner. The last time the city of Seville hosted was the 2003 UEFA Cup final, when Porto defeated Celtic 3-2. Sevilla have a special relationship with the competition, having won it more than any other club and five times since 2006.
