The Spanish Football Federation has modified its regulations in order to allow clubs in the country’s top two women’s divisions to sell their own naming rights. The change comes in response to top-flight clubs already featuring sponsors in their names, like Granadilla Tenerife Egatesa (Egatesa is a Tenerife-based meat business). The Spanish football federation is hoping that the law change will encourage more external sponsors to sign deals with clubs, thus increasing revenue throughout the women’s game in Spain.
