Happily Ever Afters 2019: A Valentine Cabaret

- CONTRIBUTED editor@southshorebreaker.ca

The 25th anniversary of South Shore Players began in December 2018 and will be celebrated until the end of 2019. The very first production was “A Christmas Carol” in 1993, and was presented on the 150th publication of the Dickens Classic of 1843.

To kick off our year of celebra- tion we are pleased to present the third annual Happily Every Afters 2019, A Valentine Cabaret. Starting in 2017, South Shore Players approached the Mahone Bay Centre about the possibility of a joint venture for February 14. We had the talent and the ability to put on a show. The Mahone Bay Centre had the venue, the decorative lights, the tables and chairs and dressing room and great bartenders. This proved to be a tremendously successful venture in 2017 and again in 2018.

Rehearsals are now in full swing under the direction of Jon Allen and the musical direction of John Bird. The singers and actors are very enthusiastic and anxious to see you in the audience.

Tickets are $25 each and are now on sale for Happily Ever Afters 2019, which includes enter- tainment, sweets, coffee, tea and a cash bar and is open to +19. Tickets are available at the following venues:

Kinley’s Pharmacare in Lunenberg, Kinburn Pharmasave in Mahone Bay, The Mahone Bay Centre in Mahone Bay and also online at www.southshoreplayers.ca
