ANNUAL LIVERPOOL RACES CANCELLED

-

Active Living Options Society, the non-profit organization which is responsible for Run our Shore and Liverpool Privateer 5-mile road race, has cancelled their events for 2021.

The organization said it made the tough decision to cancel the races for a second consecutive year following an announcement from Run Nova Scotia to cancel its 2021 Race Series. It was also mentioned many runners had expressed their reluctance to travel for the events, reducing the viability of the races.

Run our Shore had been scheduled for April and the Privateer road race had been scheduled for June. However, organizers have sent out communication to anyone who was signed up with deferral and refund options for 2022.

More information is available at https://runourshore. com/. on its website and social media channels it’s offering three concerts throughout May.

A total of 75 tickets will be sold for each concert as fans take to the Lunenburg Opera House; each concert will also be recorded for online presentations at a later date.

Rachel Beck, a singer-songwriter from P.E.I., is scheduled to take the stage on May 15 after winning album of the year at Music P.E.I.’S awards show in March.

Hauler, a trio that mixes rock and traditional Celtic music, will perform on May 22 and audience favourites Theresa Malenfant and Scott Medford on May 29.
