ON WORLD STAGE
Two Bridgewater residents are competing on Team Canada in the World Shuffleboard Tournament. Canada is hosting this year’s event on behalf of the International Shuffleboard Association. It may be new to this area, but the competition is celebrating its 39th worldwide event. Bluenose Shuffleboard Club co-founders Jim and Eleanor Crowell will play for the men’s/ladies’ teams. They are the only two to compete from the Maritime provinces. The week-long event began Aug. 20 near London, Ont.
