SUSTAINABLE GROWTH

Melissa Berry is a regular vendor at the Lunenburg Farmers’ Market every Thursday. Berry and her husband Chris have owned and operated the Lahave River Berry Farm in Middle Lahave since 2013. The young entrepreneurs grow a variety of berries, vegetables, herbs and flowers. They also produce ornamental plants, fruit spreads, juices and organic fertilizer. Berry says her family’s mission is to grow sustainably and be in harmony with nature and to never use chemicals in the soil.
