Uranium questions lead to “no” answer

The Southwest Booster - - LETTER TO THE EDITOR -

Editor: Thanks to Errol Castle for the list of questions, which he called 'quality questions' outlined in his letter (Southwest Booster, June 11 edition), questions which I agree should be answered by the uranium industry and/or the government who commissioned the report by UDP.

I am on the 'other side' of the debate from Mr. Castle, (one of those he calls 'the fearful') and I am convinced the answers to his first 10 questions would lead to us deciding that in our own best interests we would just decide the answer to the 11th - "How can we become the world leaders in nuclear development" is "No thanks, we will withdraw from this altogether".

But I also want to hear the answers to the questions, and resent that the industry and the UDP report and the government are silent on those specifics, particularly in this public forum process.
