Scheduled air service confirmed
Scheduled air service in Swift Current is no longer a dream for residents of the Southwest.
Swanberg Air Inc. has added Swift Current on their flight schedule and according to Sandra Blyth, Director Regional Development, Community Futures Southwest it won’t be long before you can fly to places like Grande Prairie, Red Deer, Calgary, Swift Current, Regina and Estevan.
“The projected time line for the service to get running is about 30 days.”
While nothing is official as far as pricing, Blyth did say that a ball park price for a ticket to Calgary would be in the $250 to $300 range with advance booking probably available for cheaper.
Blyth is excited as advocates of flight service now have something identifiable to work with.
“It was a hard sell to the potential users of the service but it is great now that we have something tangible to offer them.”
