Hall recital a high­light of up­com­ing AGM

A spe­cial mu­sic recital will be hosted in Swift Cur­rent as part of the Saskatchew­an Reg­is­tered Mu­sic Teacher’s An­nual Gen­eral Meet­ing on Sept. 25-26.

Va­lerie Hall from Regina will be per­form­ing a pipe or­gan recital on Sept. 25. The 7:30 p.m. con­cert at First United Church is hosted by the Swift Cur­rent and Area Reg­is­tered Mu­sic Teach­ers. On Sept. 26 she will con­duct an or­gan work­shop at First United Church (Burn­ham Room) from 9:30 a.m. to 11:30 a.m.

Hall has given or­gan recitals across North Amer­ica and in Europe. She has just com­pleted a 10-day tour of Saskatchew­an with the Cana­dian Cham­ber Choir, ap­pear­ing as Con­duct­ing Fel­low for the project.

She is Di­rec­tor of Mu­sic at Holy Rosary Cathe­dral in Regina, where she not only plays at ap­prox­i­mately 130 ser­vices each year, but she also su­per­vises two Or­gan Schol­ars, an As­sis­tant Or­gan­ist, and di­rects the choir and soloists. She is cur­rently serv­ing as the na­tional pres­i­dent of the Royal Cana­dian Col­lege of Or­gan­ists.
