Pro­gram dead­line ex­tended

Pro­duc­ers in the South­west have been granted an ex­ten­sion to com­plete projects ap­proved though the 2008 Saskatchew­an Farm and Ranch Wa­ter In­fra­struc­ture Pro­gram (FRWIP).

The dead­line to com­plete projects in the pro­gram has been ex­tended by a full year, with ap­pli­cants now hav­ing un­til Nov. 1, 2010 to fin­ish their ap­proved projects. Ap­pli­cants had been fac­ing a Nov. 1, 2009 dead­line, with pro­gram of­fi­cials es­ti­mat­ing one-third of ap­proved projects have not yet been com­pleted.

Cy­press Hills Grass­lands MP David An­der­son and Saskatchew­an Agri­cul­ture Min­is­ter Bob Bjornerud an­nounced the dead­line ex­ten­sion in Swift Cur­rent on Mon­day.
