In­for­ma­tion sought in hit and run

The Swift Cur­rent City RCMP are ask­ing the pub­lic to step for­ward with any in­for­ma­tion in con­nec­tion with a hit and run which oc­curred on Hill­crest Drive at ap­prox­i­mately 8:50 p.m. on Aug. 8.

RCMP re­port that a ve­hi­cle was spot­ted driv­ing on the grass me­dian near the Elm­wood Golf Course. The ve­hi­cle then col­lided with and de­stroyed a SaskTel Power box. The ve­hi­cle re­sumed travel west­bound on Hill­crest drive and south on 19th Ave. N.E. The sus­pect ve­hi­cle is de­scribed as a light blue Chev or GMC ex­tended cab pick up.

The truck would have a dam­aged front end, and the owner may be tak­ing the ve­hi­cle to a body shop in the area. t-On Aug. 11, the City RCMP re­ceived a com­plaint of an at­tempted break in to a ve­hi­cle parked at the Chi­nook Golf Course.

The ve­hi­cle had been in the park­ing lot be­tween 11:30 a.m. and 4:30 p.m.
