Ac­tion on the ice heated up at Sask Curl­ing Tour bon­speil at the iPlex...

Brad Law, curl­ing out of the Tar­tan Curl­ing Club in Regina, was the class of the field as he topped the Sun­ridge De­vel­op­ments Sask Curl­ing Tour Cash Bon­spiel in Swift Cur­rent over the week­end.

Law won all five games as his strong sea­son con­tin­ued on the Sask Curl­ing Tour. Law took on Saska­toon’s Shawn Joyce in the cham­pi­onship game and won 6-3 to take the cham­pi­onship.

Fox Val­ley’s Dar­ren En­gel came up with three wins be­fore be­ing elim­i­nated 6-4 by Law in the cham­pi­onship event semi­fi­nal.

En­gel opened with a 7-3 win over Joyce be­fore fall­ing 6-3 to Law.

In the C event, En­gel de­feated Regina’s Chris Busby 7-0 be­fore a cham­pi­onship event quar­ter-fi­nal 7-6 win over Lloyd Fell out of the Unity Curl­ing Club.

En­gel teamed with Drew Wilby, Ja­son Barn­hart, and Ryan Deis on the week­end.

Swift Cur­rent Clem Ther­rien fin­ished 0-3 with losses to Brad Law, Fell, and Glenn Heitt. Ther­rien teamed with Tyler Friesen, Mitch Minken, and Jeff Cham­bers.
