Viterra ex­pand­ing Gull Lake Ter­mi­nal

Viterra Inc. has an­nounced an ex­pan­sion which will dou­ble the grain han­dling ca­pac­ity of the Viterra Gull Lake ter­mi­nal.

Pre­vi­ously op­er­at­ing as a 56 rail car fa­cil­ity, Viterra Gull Lake will be ex­panded to 112 car spots to ac­com­mo­date heavy pro­duc­tion in the South­west­ern Saskatchew­an area. Viterra has also an­nounced that ter­mi­nal stor­age ca­pac­ity will be in­creased by 37 per­cent.

“The ex­pan­sion of the Viterra Gull Lake ter­mi­nal is part of our com­mit­ment to en­hanc­ing the qual­ity of ser­vice Viterra pro­vides to both farm­ers and des­ti­na­tion cus­tomers. This in­fra­struc­ture in­vest­ment ensures the more efficient move­ment of grains and oilseeds, and we are pleased to have worked with CP to re­al­ize this ad­vance­ment,” said Bob Miller, Viterra’s Se­nior Vice-Pres­i­dent for Grain, North Amer­ica. Viterra loads more than 200,000 rail­cars and about 400 ships in Canada and Aus­tralia an­nu­ally.
