New CEO an­nounced for In­no­va­tion Credit Union

The Board of Direc­tors of In­no­va­tion Credit Union an­nounced June 17 that Daniel John­son will soon be In­no­va­tion Credit Union’s new CEO.

“Daniel demon­strates a keen ded­i­ca­tion to the growth of the credit union sys­tem and pos­sesses ex­ten­sive ed­u­ca­tional and pro­fes­sional de­vel­op­ment,” said Gor­don Light­foot, In­no­va­tion Board Pres­i­dent. “He has shared his ex­pe­ri­ence as an Ex­ec­u­tive with a num­ber of fi­nan­cial co­op­er­a­tive or­ga­ni­za­tions in­clud­ing Con­cen­tra Fi­nan­cial and Credit Union Cen­tral of Saskatchew­an, and most re­cently as a CEO and Se­nior Vice Pres­i­dent in the Al­berta credit union sys­tem.

“We look for­ward to hav­ing Daniel as part of the In­no­va­tion team and wel­come him back to Saskatchew­an,” added Light­foot.

Daniel, his wife Lau­reen, and two chil­dren Hunter and Kam­ryn, will be re­sid­ing in Swift Cur­rent. Daniel will of­fi­cially join In­no­va­tion Credit Union on July 11.

At that time, Su­san Woods, In­terim CEO, will re­turn to an Ex­ec­u­tive po­si­tion and con­tinue to make sig­nif­i­cant con­tri­bu­tions at that level.

“ We be­lieve [Daniel’s] com­pelling strate­gic lead­er­ship, ex­cep­tional busi­ness and fi­nan­cial acu­men com­bined with his unique abil­ity to mo­ti­vate and en­gage the ef­forts of peo­ple in a com­mon goal will strongly fa­cil­i­tate our fu­ture suc­cess,” said Light­foot.
