Siman Auto Sales holds grand opening
Siman Auto Sales on 801 Cheadle St. W. celebrated their official opening on June 22 with a special ribbon cutting.
Siman Auto began operations back on Nov. 2012, taking over from the former City Auto Sales. They have since branched out to include a Thrifty’s Car Rental operation in addition to offering an expanded used car sales inventory.
“It’s been very successful to this point thanks to the past customers that I used to call on, and our growing list of present customers as well,” explained Siman Auto Sales Swift Current Manager Bill Wiebe. As part of a network which includes Siman Auto Sales locations in Regina and Moosomin, Swift Current’s operation has a larger inventory that just the cars on their own lot.
“It’s been really handy for us because if we don’t have it Siman Auto Sales held their grand opening ribbon cutting on June 22 to officially open their 801 Cheadle St. W. location. Participating in the ribbon cutting were (L to R) David Howden, Joe Pisch, Dwight Siman, Swift Current Mayor Jerrod Schafer, Lana Siman, and Swift Current Manager Bill Wiebe. at our location, and if we do have it in Regina or Moosomin, we can bring the vehicles off their lot there and bring it over here basically overnight, if they are genuinely interested. It gives us a bigger variety of vehicles that way, and more to chose from.”
During their official opening day on June 22, they also rented their first vehicle as a Thrifty’s Car Rental location.
“There’s definitely a market for it in this town. There’s always a shortage of vehicles to be rented so I think it’s going to be a great success for us as well,” Wiebe said.
“Anything that we’re going to be renting off of our location here is going to be also for sale. If you get into an accident and your car is in the body shop and you need to rent something, that particular vehicle that you’re renting will also be up for sale.”
Wiebe is joined at the Swift Current location by David Howden who assists with the financial/extended warranty side of operations.
