Fund­ing be­ing fi­nal­ized for Tran­sCanada High­way pav­ing in South­west

A27 kilo­me­tre stretch of the Tran­sCanada High­way be­tween Bev­er­ley and Tomp­kins is one of four ma­jor core high­ways in Saskatchew­an to be repaved this sum­mer through the Build­ing Canada Fund.

As one of four pri­or­ity projects im­prov­ing over 100 kilo­me­tres of the Core Na­tional High­way Sys­tem un­der the Ma­jor In­fra­struc­ture Com­po­nent of the Build­ing Canada Fund, the prov­ince will also be repaving 26 kilo­me­tres along High­way #16 east of Lloy­d­min­ster, a 28 kilo­me­tre seg­ment of High­way #39 north­west of Este­van, plus 21 kilo­me­tres of the Tran­sCanada High­way from Wolse­ley to west of Broad­view.

The 27-kilo­me­tre project west of Swift Cur­rent is on a por­tion of the Tran­sCanada High­way that car­ries as many as 5,620 ve­hi­cles per day.
