Stark & Marsh Entrance Scholarship established at Great Plains College

Over the next three years Stark & Marsh has dedicated $15,000 to the establishment of a Stark & Marsh Entrance Scholarship at Great Plains College.

The entrance scholarship will be awarded annually on a first-come-first-served basis to students entering the Office Administration and Business certificate programs.

“Stark & Marsh is a proud partner of Great Plains College and is committed to supporting the success of students pursuing their post-secondary education at Great Plains College,” says Darcy Congdon, Stark & Marsh administrative manager. Through the generous support of donors such as Stark & Marsh and the ability to leverage matching dollars Great Plains College will continue to offer a one-of-a- kind scholarship program throughout the 2015–2016 academic year. Every fulltime student who applies to a student loan-eligible program before April 30, 2015, receives a minimum $500 entrance scholarship. Grades-based scholarships up to $5,000 are also available.

“Community partners, such as Stark & Marsh, who make gifts to Great Plains College greatly impact and change the lives of students,” says Carrie Voysey, Great Plains College interim director of development. “When supported in their quest to attain an education, stu- dents are further enabled to be leaders in our communities.” The Office Administration program provides practical and applied training in word processing, accounting, spreadsheets, database, Internet searches, office procedures, communications and business calculations.
